Dimanche, dans un entretien accordé au JDD, Antoine Gallimard, patron de la maison d’édition éponyme, annonçait : «Je n’ai pas renoncé aux pamphlets de Céline».
Revirement ? Gallimard dit avoir simplement «suspendu» cette réédition, expliquant : «La raison de cette suspension est simple: on ne construit rien de valable dans un incendie, on ne peut pas se faire entendre dans un amphithéâtre en ébullition».
Au sujet des pressions gouvernementales, le PDG des éditions Gallimard se limite à dire qu’en décembre 2017, il a « reçu une lettre du délégué interministériel à la lutte contre le racisme, l’antisémitisme et la haine anti-LGBT, M. Frédéric Potier, et j’ai choisi de le rencontrer».
Gallimard répète que sa réédition des pamphlets serait accompagnée d’un «appareil historique», avec une analyse du professeur d’université Régis Tettamanzi et une préface signée de l’écrivain Pierre Assouline.
Mais la nouvelle offensive anti-célinienne du CRIF à l’occasion de son dîner annuel risque bien de faire à nouveau reculer l’éditeur Gallimard.
En attendant, des rééditions des pamphlets de Louis-Ferdinand Céline sont déjà en vente sur internet, à l’image de celle proposée par l’éditeur Omnia Veritas.
