La police canadienne vient d’ouvrir une enquête à la suite des révélations faites en marge du Festival de Cannes par l’actrice Pamela Anderson.
Le 16 mai dernier, Pamela Anderson faisait connaître son association Pamela Anderson Foundation, lancée conjointement avec la fondation Cool Earth de Vivienne Westwood. Devant près de 200 invités, Pamela Anderson expliquait cet engagement par une déclaration bouleversante. Emue, et en présence de son mari Rick Salomon et de l’un de ses fils Brandon, 17 ans, elle a révélé avoir subi plusieurs agressions sexuelles dans sa jeunesse.
La comédienne Pamela Anderson, les larmes aux yeux, précisait : « Je risque de trop me livrer ou même de vous choquer, mais aujourd’hui il faut que je me dévoile, pour que vous compreniez pourquoi je m’investis (…) Je n’ai pas eu une enfance facile. Malgré des parents aimants, j’ai été agressée sexuellement par une baby-sitter quand j’avais 6 ans« . Cette baby-sitter a abusé sexuellement de Pamela Anderson de ses 6 ans à ses dix ans.
A la suite de ces révélations publiques, la police canadienne a décidé d’ouvrir une enquête. Darren Lagan, porte-parole de la Gendarmerie Royale du Canada (GRC), a déclaré que la police « est au courant des récentes déclarations faites par Madame Anderson (…) Etant donné la nature des allégations, un enquêteur de la GRC va prendre contact avec Madame Anderson pour aborder directement cette question« .
