Ousmane Dembélé est un joueur vedette de l’équipe multiculturelle de France qui a emporté la Coupe du Monde de Football. C’est aussi un joueur du FC Barcelone où il s’était fait remarquer en réclamant des « repas islamiques ».
Originaire de la Mauritanie, il a décidé de financer la construction d’une mosquée dans la ville natale de sa mère, la moughata de Diaguily, dans le sud mauritanien.
La fédération mauritanienne de football avait en son temps proposé au joueur de défendre les couleurs mauritaniennes, mais il avait poliment décliné l’offre.
Les Français pourront se consoler en songeant que ce n’est pas en France qu’il fera construire sa mosquée…
