Comme vous le savez, le Conseil d’Etat a rejeté les demandes des référés de Civitas et des vingt autres dépositaires (évêques, congrégations, monastères, associations, particuliers) de pouvoir au plus vite célébrer la Messe en présence des fidèles malgré l’état d’urgence sanitaire.
Par ailleurs, l’état d’urgence sanitaire vient d’être prolongé jusqu’au 16 février 2021.
CIVITAS n’a pas l’intention d’admettre cette situation. La Messe est essentielle à tout catholique. Le catholique ne s’en nourrit pas devant un écran, sauf situation exceptionnelle notamment pour les malades, les hospitalisés et les personnes dépourvues de tout lieu de culte à une distance raisonnable. L’assistance dominicale à la Messe est un devoir devant Dieu. La sainte hostie ne s’avale pas de façon virtuelle.
Il faut agir
Le gouvernement autorise à nouveau les manifestations. De Nantes à Versailles, des catholiques ont déjà montré l’exemple ce dimanche.
CIVITAS appelle donc ses sections, membres, sympathisants et tous les catholiques de France à s’organiser pour déclarer tous les dimanches, dans différentes villes de France, une manifestation sur l’espace public devant une cathédrale, une église, une chapelle, pour réclamer que la Messe nous soit rendue.
Conformément au jugement du Conseil d’Etat, les fidèles qui se rendront à cette manifestation indiqueront sur leur attestation “motif familial impérieux”.
