La croix a été arrachée et les mots « A mon père » ont été tagués sur la tombe du Maréchal Pétain, retrouvée profanée au matin du 11 novembre, signale aujourd’hui l’AFP. Le parquet a ouvert une enquête concernant ces dégradations.
Les dégâts « ont été constatés le 11 novembre au matin, donc on peut supposer que cela a eu lieu dans la nuit du 10 au 11 ou le 11 dans la matinée », a déclaré la procureure des Sables-d’Olonne, Carine Halley, ajoutant :
« il y a régulièrement des dégradations, qui peuvent prendre plusieurs types de formes, soit de la peinture, la croix souvent est cassée, soit des pots de fleurs ou des poubelles qui sont déversés »
Selon la magistrate, la tombe du Maréchal Pétain est profanée une à deux fois par an.
