L’acteur Stephen Collins fait l’objet d’une enquête de police après avoir avoué qu’il avait des pratiques pédophiles.
Ses révélations ont provoqué la consternation car il bénéficiait d’une image très positive après avoir incarné pendant plus de dix ans le rôle d’un révérend père de famille nombreuse dans la série « Sept à la maison ». En raison de cette image, il avait participé à des campagnes pour les droits des enfants, comme le montre la photo ci-dessous lorsqu’il pose pour The Alliance for Children’s Rights !
C’est son ex-épouse, la comédienne Faye Grant, qui a forcé Stephen Collins a avouer publiquement ses méfaits. Au préalable, il en avait parlé avec elle. Elle a affirmé que Collins lui avait raconté avoir des pensées incestueuses sur leur enfant alors qu’elle était encore enceinte.
Juste avant de donner naissance, il lui a dit combien il était heureux qu’ils aient une fille, qu’ils ont prénommé Kate, plutôt qu’un garçon car il l’aurait peut-être abusé.
Mais son attirance pour les petits garçons ne l’a pas empêché d’avoir abusé de trois gamines, dont la plus jeune avait onze ans au moment des premiers faits. Deux des fillettes de l’époque ont été identifiées tandis que la police recherche encore qui est la troisième.
L’acteur avait révélé ses abus sexuels sur des fillettes lors d’une thérapie de couple en 2012 avec son ex-femme qui avait enregistré toute la conversation mais n’a transmis l’enregistrement à la police qu’il y a quelques semaines.
Les enquêteurs cherchent maintenant à savoir si l’acteur Stephen Collins a abusé d’autres enfants ou adolescents.
