Deux mois après l’incendie de Notre-Dame de Paris du 15 avril, on apprend que seulement 9% des promesses de dons faites pour la reconstruction de la cathédrale ont bien été versées, soit 80 millions confirmés sur les 850 millions d’euros promis au total.
Sur ces 850 millions annoncés, 650 millions avaient été promis à quatre structures (la Fondation de France, la Fondation pour le patrimoine, la Fondation Notre-Dame et le Centre des monuments nationaux) et 200 à l’Etat.
Les dons réellement versés proviennent essentiellement des particuliers et sont arrivés par chèque ou par virement. Par contre, les plus gros mécènes annoncés (la famille Arnault et son groupe LVMH ont promis 200 millions d’euros, la famille Pinault 100 millions) affirment que les fonds seront envoyés petit à petit, en fonction du devis de la reconstruction.
Mais certaines communes et particuliers ont déjà prévenu qu’ils renonçaient à donner. C’est que, depuis le 15 avril, les projets les plus fous circulent concernant une reconstruction en version « contemporaine ». De quoi déplaire à beaucoup de ceux qui étaient prêts à participer au financement d’une reconstruction souhaitée à l’identique.
Dans le détail, la Fondation de France a reçu 9 millions (7 d’entreprises et 2 de particuliers) sur les 29 millions , la Fondation du patrimoine a perçu 54,5 millions sur les 221 millions de promesses de dons, la Fondation Notre-Dame a reçu à peine 15 millions sur les 395 millions promis, le Centre des monuments nationaux a lui reçu 3,5 millions sur les 4,5 millions promis.
