Norvège – L’Agence norvégienne du médicament a déjà recensé 13 décès liés aux effets secondaires du vaccin Pfizer contre le coronavirus.
Mais au total, ce sont 23 décès qui ont suivi la vaccination contre le Covid-19 en Norvège, dont 13 d’entre eux ont été analysés, rapporte le média norvégien Norway Today.
«Les rapports pourraient indiquer que les effets secondaires courants des vaccins à ARNm, tels que la fièvre et les nausées, peuvent avoir entraîné la mort de certains patients fragiles», a déclaré le médecin en chef Sigurd Hortemo de l’Agence norvégienne du médicament.
«Pour les personnes les plus fragiles, même des effets relativement légers peuvent avoir avoir des conséquences graves», ajoute l’Institut norvégien de santé publique.
Les autorités sanitaires se veulent toutefois rassurantes. «Nous ne sommes ni alarmés ni inquiets car ces cas sont très rares et se sont produits chez des patients très fragiles atteints de maladies très graves», a ainsi souligné Steinar Madsen, directeur médical au sein de l’Agence norvégienne du médicament. Un peu comme la grande majorité des morts du Covid-19, non ?
Pfizer assure de son côté que le «nombre d’incidents n’est pas alarmant». Pour l’entreprise pharmaceutique, mourir à la suite de la prise de son vaccin n’est donc qu’un « incident ».
La Norvège a commencé à vacciner sa population le 27 décembre dernier.
