Sean Eldridge et Chris Hugues s’étaient « mariés » en juillet 2012 en présence de plusieurs élus américains, dont Nancy Pelosi, l’ancienne présidente de la Chambre des représentants.
Après avoir milité pour légaliser le « mariage » homosexuel à New York et avoir participé à la campagne présidentielle d’Obama en 2007-2008, Sean Eldridge sera candidat dans la 19e circonscription de New York.
Rappelons par ailleurs qu’en 2012, la société Facebook avait reçu un prix du lobby homosexuel, le « Glaad Media Award », pour son « travail significatif et de longue durée » en partenariat avec le lobby LGBT…
