Le président zimbabwéen Robert Mugabe a fustigé les pays européens et leur politique pro-LGBT.
Vendredi dernier, Mugabe a prononcé un discours d’une heure devant des dizaines de milliers de partisans au stade sportif national dans les faubourgs à l’ouest d’Harare, capitale du pays. Il a accusé l’Occident de promouvoir les revendications des homosexuels en Afrique et d’avoir coupé des aides à l’Ouganda après l’adoption par ce pays d’une loi pénalisant l’homosexualité.
« Que l’Europe garde ses idées homosexuelles absurdes et qu’elle vive avec. Nous n’aurons jamais cela ici. Cet acte (l’ homosexualité) n’est pas humain », a déclaré M. Mugabe. « Tout diplomate abordant la question de l’homosexualité (au Zimbabwe) sera expulsé. Il n’y aura aucune excuse et nous ne les écouterons pas ».
