Le gouvernement russe n’a pas l’habitude de s’ingérer ouvertement dans les affaires judiciaires, qui plus est à l’étranger. Une fois n’est pas coutume, le ministère russe des affaires étrangères s’est fendu ce vendredi d’un communiqué de presse dénonçant la relaxe des Femen ayant profané la cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. « Nous avons remarqué la relaxe prononcée par un tribunal parisien en faveur des membres du groupe Femen qui ont perpétré en février 2013 un acte de délinquance à la cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. Il s’agit d’une décision dont le caractère politiquement motivé ne fait aucun doute. La justice française a fait fi des sentiments bafoués des croyants indignés par la profanation d’une des cathédrales les plus vénérées de France. Ceci étant, le tribunal, dans une insulte au bon sens, a condamné à une amende les gardiens de la cathédrale jugés coupables d’un comportement trop brutal envers les activistes du groupe Femen. » indique notamment le commentaire officiel russe.
