Mo Rocca, un journaliste de télévision notoirement homosexuel, a tenu un rôle de lecteur durant la messe du pape François au Madison Square Garden vendredi à New York.

« Je suis profondément reconnaissant et honoré d’avoir livré une lecture durant une messe célébrée par Pontifex », a tweeté Rocca.
Le lobby LGBT y a naturellement vu une grande victoire.
Joe Sudbay, un activiste LGBT et écrivain, a immédiatement interprété la lecture de Rocca comme un signe que le pape François a donné de sa volonté de rendre l’Eglise plus accueillante pour les gays et les lesbiennes.
New Ways Ministry, organisation abusivement présentée comme réunissant des catholiques LGBT, s’est félicitée de ce pas supplémentaire à quelques jours de l’ouverture du Synode sur la Famille.
