Belgique – Bart De Wever, président de la NVA et bourgmestre d’Anvers, est souvent présenté par les médias comme un leader nationaliste flamand. Le qualificatif est inexact : Bart De Wever peut être considéré comme un régionaliste, un autonomiste, un indépendantiste ou un séparatiste mais sa vision politique ne correspond pas à la définition du nationalisme communément admise en politique.
Sur l’échiquier politique, Bart De Wever se situe dans la ligne de la droite libérale. Ses positions économiques le confirment, mais aussi ses positions morales et sociétales. Il vient encore d’en donner un exemple en participant le 29 juin au jury de l’élection de… Mister Gay Vlaanderen.
Bart De Wever voulait ainsi prouver le caractère « gay-friendly » de sa ville d’Anvers. Il n’a pas hésité à payer de sa personne en embrassant le gagnant en même temps qu’il lui remettait un cadeau offert par une société spécialisée dans les croisières pour homosexuels…
