Un certain François Héran, sociologue et élu professeur au Collège de France en juin 2017 sur la chaire « Migrations et sociétés » créée en mars 2017 et dont la leçon inaugurale fut tenue le 5 avril, a déclaré lors de l’émission de propagande Les Idées claires proposée par les radios du régime France Inter et France Culture : « Notre pays a accueilli quelques 10 000 réfugiés syriens sur les 5 millions qui ont fui leur pays, au moment où l’Allemagne a accueilli près d’un million d’immigrants. Pourtant une frange de l’extrême-droite évoque sans cesse un « grand remplacement ». Cette croyance imagine une France où les étrangers deviendraient majoritaires par rapport aux natifs. Mais est-ce que les diverses vagues migratoires en provenance d’Afrique et du Moyen Orient, passées et à venir, peuvent réellement modifier la démographie française ? »
