Paradoxalement, c’est l’année où les « jaunards » réalisent une saison catastrophique (pour la première fois depuis 2003, le club montferrandais n’ira pas aux play-offs du championnat de rugby) que Michelin multiplie les performances à l’étranger.
Après ses achats au Royaume-Uni, la firme française vient d’être tout simplement élue… meilleur employeur des Etats-Unis avec une note de 9,9 sur 10 ! Les données viennent d’une étude réalisée conjointement par le site de statistique Statista et la revue économique Forbes en 2018 auprès des employés des firmes de plus de 5.000 salariés. Par rapport à l’an dernier, Michelin a gagné 33 places et est la seule entreprise non-américaine dans le Top 10 (même si Trader’s Joe a été racheté par Aldi, c’est à l’origine une entreprise américaine). La première entreprise non-américaine après Michelin est la filiale américaine de Siemens et la seconde entreprise française est Total, 107e, juste au-dessus de la NASA :
