L’acteur américain Michael Douglas se lancera à la fin janvier dans une campagne « contre l’antisémitisme et le boycott d’Israël » menée sur les campus universitaires américains, a annoncé l’Agence juive.
Michael Douglas est le fils de l’acteur Kirk Douglas, de son vrai nom Issur Danielovitch Demsky, dont les parents sont des immigrants juifs originaires de Biélorussie.
Le communiqué de la Fondation Genesis, dont Michael Douglas est le récipiendaire de l’édition 2015, se félicite : « Alors qu’actuellement la délégitimation d’Israël gagne du terrain dans le milieu universitaire américain, un tel soutien est particulièrement bienvenu ».
Pour sillonner les universités américaines, l’acteur américain sera accompagné du président de l’Agence juive Nathan Sharansky.
Une fois de plus, l’objectif est de lier antisémitisme et antisionisme de façon à empêcher toute critique de la politique israélienne. En juin dernier, Michael Douglas, habitué à rencontrer les dirigeants politiques israéliens, s’était déclaré très préoccupé par les campagnes du mouvement BDS (Boycott, Désinvestissement, Sanctions) appelant à boycotter les produits israéliens.
