Inauguré au mois de juin par Philippe Charuel, Grand Maître de la Grande Loge de France (GLDF) et Jean-Claude Gaudin, maire de Marseille, le « Château Saint Antoine », entièrement rénové – et agrandi – pour un montant de sept millions d’euros, contient neuf temples maçonniques et sert depuis quelques semaines aux réunions de 70 loges maçonniques de la région.
Le château Saint Antoine date du XVIIIe siècle. C’est le fameux « château de ma mère » de Marcel Pagnol. Il a également servi de lieu d’entraînement du GIGN dans les années 1990.
Nouvelle vitrine de la franc-maçonnerie marseillaise, le château Saint Antoine dispose désormais d’un Restaurant Saint Antoine, où les francs-maçons peuvent venir déjeuner, y compris accompagnés de non-initiés. Méfiance, donc, si quelqu’un vous invite à y déjeuner.
