C’est par le biais d’un communiqué du ministère de l’intérieur que le gouvernement marocain a annoncé ce 8 janvier le démantèlement d’une cellule terroriste à Dar Bouazza, à 25 km au sud-ouest de la ville de Casablanca.
« Le Bureau central d’investigations judiciaires (BCIJ, le « FBI marocain »), relevant de la Direction générale de la surveillance du territoire national a procédé vendredi au démantèlement d’une cellule terroriste composée de sept extrémistes partisans de l’organisation dite État islamique ». Parmi eux, le chef de ce groupe qui avait des contacts étroits avec l’État islamique en Irak et en Syrie.
Le groupe opérait dans la ville de Dar Baouazza, à 25 kilomètres au sud-ouest de Casablanca. Il cherchait notamment à recruter des hommes pour qu’ils aillent en Irak et en Syrie et reviennent ensuite dans le royaume pour y compromettre des attentats, précise le communiqué.
