Abandonner un enfant que vous avez adopté, mais dont vous ne voulez plus, et le revendre à de nouveaux parents,  c’est déjà une réalité sordide aux États-Unis

Internet regorge de forums spécialisés en commerce d’enfants. Un marché à deux vitesses. Une adoption internationale se négocie 20.000 dollars en moyenne. Un enfant que les parents adoptifs mettent à la revente se négocie au rabais environ 3.500 dollars, plus frais d’agence, déductible d’impôts si vous êtes citoyen américain.  Aux Etats-Unis, on appelle cela le « rehoming« . Des centaines d’agences privées en ont fait leur activité très lucrative. On y vend des enfants, mais en seconde main, comme une simple voiture d’occasion.

Les parents adoptifs qui veulent se débarrasser d’un enfant postent une annonce en ligne avec une description de l’enfant (âge, physique, caractère, …). Une simple procuration chez le notaire suffit à transférer l’enfant d’un couple de parents à un autre.

Yahoo et Facebook n’ont aucun problème de conscience à se faire les complices de ce marché en hébergeant les annonces de ces parents indignes.

Ce marché existe déjà depuis cinq ans. On estime qu’un enfant y est vendu chaque semaine. Certains enfants sont revendus plusieurs fois. Généralement, les parents adoptifs revendeurs se mettent aussitôt en quête d’un autre enfant comme s’il s’agissait d’un simple jouet qui n’a qu’un temps.

Le scandale atteint les sommets de l’abject lorsqu’on constate les exemples nombreux de pédophiles qui rôdent sur ce commerce et choisissent en toute facilité la proie qu’ils vont légalement acheter. Les cas de parents adoptifs ayant des penchants violents ou de lourds problèmes psychiatriques sont également fréquents.

Il serait facile d’en conclure qu’il s’agit d’une preuve de plus de la décadence américaine. Mais la France n’a-t-elle pas déjà commencé à emprunter le chemin de la marchandisation de l’enfant ?

Le 26 juin dernier, la Cour européenne des droits de l’homme, saisie contre l’Etat français, a imposé de reconnaître le lien de filiation entre les parents français et les enfants acquis dans d’autres pays par l’entremise d’une gestation pour autrui (GPA). A ce stade, la gestation pour autrui reste interdite en France mais la filiation issue de la GPA est donc reconnue. Une incohérence qui ne tiendra pas longtemps. D’autant que, contrairement au discours officiel du parti, ils sont nombreux parmi les ténors socialistes à être partisans de la légalisation de la PMA et de la GPA.
