Ce jeudi s’est tenu le premier rassemblement public en soutien au burkini. Où donc ? Pas en Arabie saoudite, pas en Turquie, pas au Maroc ni en Tunisie, deux pays musulmans où le burkini est également interdit sur certaines plages et dans différents parcs aquatiques,… Alors où ? A Londres !
Devant l’ambassade de France à Londres, quelques féministes et quelques musulmanes voilées se sont retrouvées pour une mise en scène destinée aux journalistes venus en nombre. Des viragos londoniennes en maillot de bain ont entouré une jeune femme en burkini dans un grand élan de solidarité. Il ne manquait plus que quelques Femen dépoitraillées pour compléter le paysage.
Est-ce étonnant qu’un tel rassemblement se soit déroulé à Londres ? Il n’est pas inutile de rappeler que le burkini est une marque déposée imaginée par une créatrice de mode de nationalité australienne et d’origine libanaise. C’est en 2004 qu’Aheda Zanetti a créé sa société Ahida et a commencé à commercialiser le burkini, marque qu’elle a déposée dans différents pays à partir de 2006.
Et toute cette polémique est un excellent coup commercial pour cette jeune femme.
