Le gouvernement canadien a entamé des contacts officiels avec l’Uruguay pour étudier les possibilités d’achat de marijuana après l’approbation en décembre dernier de la loi régularisant la vente et la distribution de cannabis dans l’état hispano-américain.
Même s’il n’est pas permis au Canada de cultiver pour son usage personnel de la marijuana, quelques 26.000 personnes ont une autorisation médicale pour utiliser sous forme thérapeutique la marijuana. Devant cette augmentation de la demande, le Canada qui, actuellement, achète la marijuana à usage thérapeutique en Hollande, pourrait désormais l’acquérir à de meilleures conditions depuis l’Uruguay qui envisage d’exporter cette substance vers d’autres pays.
