Quel que soit le résultat du Congrès du Front National au mois de mars, les décisions semblent déjà prises. Le FN « va changer de nom, peut-être pas tout de suite après le congrès, mais il va changer de nom », a répété Louis Aliot, vice-président du FN et député des Pyrénées-Orientales, sur France Info ce mardi matin. Selon lui, le nom du parti pose « problème » lors des seconds tours des élections.
« Je pense qu’aujourd’hui, le FN dans les seconds tours est quelque chose qui fait barrage. Il faut en changer [de nom] pour permettre un plus large rassemblement de deuxième tour, pas pour une histoire d’extrême droite », a déclaré Louis Aliot, ajoutant qu’il « ne se considère pas comme une personnalité politique d’extrême droite ». « Nous sommes des conservateurs, des patriotes », a-t-il ajouté.
