Le président israélien Reuven Rivlin a rencontré à Jérusalem le dimanche 16 juin 2019 une délégation constituée d’imams de France et de représentants musulmans de Belgique.
La délégation musulmane était conduite par Hassen Chalgoumi, médiatique imam de Drancy chapeauté par le CRIF et le Grand Orient de France. La visite de cette délégation de 40 responsables musulmans avait été organisée par l’ELNET (European Leadership Network), une organisation dont l’objectif officiel est de renforcer les liens entre l’Europe et Israël.
Reuven Rivlin et ses interlocuteurs ont évidemment parlé de « l’antisémitisme ».
« Le judaïsme et l’islam sont deux religions sœurs, et c’est ainsi que nous devons nous appréhender, les uns et les autres. », a déclaré le président israélien.
L’imam Chalgoumi a assuré au président israélien que le groupe avait prié pour son épouse Nechama, qui s’est éteinte au début du mois.

La délégation musulmane s’était préalablement rendue le 13 juin dans le nord de la Cisjordanie, répondant à l’invitation d’un responsable des colons israéliens.
A cette occasion, l’imam Chalgoumi a affirmé que le soutien au boycott anti-Israël était contraire à la loi coranique !
Rappelons que l’imam Chalgoumi s’était déjà rendu en Israël en 2012 pour y participer, le 5 juin, à un colloque à Tel Aviv en compagnie de Caroline Fourest, d’Alain Finkielkraut et d’Elisabeth Lévy…
