Liberia – Devant le scandale énorme causé par son cofondateur, l’ONG américaine More Than Me a présenté ses excuses pour les viols incessants de jeunes filles commis dans l’une de ses écoles.
L’ONG More Than Me prétendait justement organiser la scolarisation d’enfants libériens afin de leur permettre d’échapper à l’exploitation sexuelle !
C’est dans l’une des écoles gérées par l’ONG, dans un bidonville de Monrovia, la capitale libérienne, que le cofondateur de l’ONG, Macintosh Johnson, sidaïque, sélectionnaient ses proies, de très jeunes fillettes. Au moins une dizaine d’enfants ont été violés par Macintosh Johnson, mort du sida en 2016.
Le violeur a transmis le sida a au moins l’une de ses petites victimes.
Macintosh Johnson avait été dénoncé par des fillettes et arrêté. Mais son procès débuté en 2015 fut suspendu. Il fut question de pots-de-vin.
Pour son projet au Liberia, l’ONG More Than Me avait reçu plus de huit millions de dollars (6,9 M€ au cours actuel) de dons et subventions, dont près de 600.000 dollars obtenus auprès du gouvernement américain. Cette ONG avait aussi reçu le soutien de la présidente du Liberia à l’époque, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, également Prix Nobel de la paix.
Le violeur pédophile Macintosh Johnson avait cofondé cette ONG avec Katie Meyler, évangéliste américaine.
