La chrétienne Meriam a été relâchée hier dans la journée, à la seule condition de ne pas quitter le Soudan. Elle a pourtant tous les documents nécessaires pour pouvoir se rendre aux États-Unis avec sa famille. La porte-parole du département d’Etat américain, Marie Harf, a déclaré que le gouvernement était en contact avec le ministère soudanais des Affaires étrangères pour qu’elle soit autorisée à voyager dès que possible. Craignant sans doute encore un revirement de situation, la chrétienne Meriam s’est réfugiée à l’ambassade américaine, selon son avocat, en attendant que la situation se débloque.
