Voici l’enregistrement d’une conférence de Jean Ousset (1914-1994) donnée en conclusion du Congrès de Lausanne le 7 avril 1968.

«Rien ne sert — écrit Ousset dans Pour qu’Il règne, ouvrage préfacé par Mgr Lefebvre — de prendre le pouvoir à midi si on doit le perdre à midi cinq » ; et cela est inévitable « si aucun courant d’opinion n’étaye cette conquête».

De 1965 à 1977, les Congrès de Lausanne, organisés par l’Office international des œuvres  de formations civiques et d’action doctrinale selon le droit naturel et chrétien, vont donc s’essayer à former intellectuellement un courant d’opinion de droite catholique.

Ces congrès accueillent comme présidents de séances ou conférenciers des intellectuels tels Jean Madiran, Gustave Thibon, Louis Salleron, Jean de Fabrègues, Luc Baresta (directeur adjoint de France catholique), Michel de Saint-Pierre, l’amiral Gabriel Auphan, Henri Rambaud, François Saint-Pierre, Marc Rivière, André Récipon, Marcel Clément, Georges Sauge, Raoul Follereau, le Belge Marcel De Corte, les Suisses Jean de Siebenthal et Gonzague de Reynold, etc.
