Syrie : l’Etat Islamique vient de s’emparer du point de passage reliant Qusayr (ville de l’ouest de la Syrie dans une région montagneuse dominant la frontière avec le Liban) à la localité de Qaa (se situant dans la plaine de la Bekaa du Liban), dont la population est majoritairement de confession grecque-catholique melkite. A l’est de Qaa se trouve Hermel, considéré comme un bastion du Hezbollah, l’organisation chiite qui se bat aux côtés de l’armée libanaise pour repousser les combattants de l’Etat Islamique.
Du côté des chrétiens libanais, l’angoisse est montée d’un cran devant cette approche des djihadistes que rien ne vient véritablement arrêter.
