Egypte – L’État Islamique (EI) a appelé ses partisans à propager la djihad en Egypte, au cœur du Caire lui-même.
Abu Mus ‘ab al-Maqdisi, l’un des chefs de file dans l’État islamique, a déclaré dans un communiqué intitulé «Conseils aux moudjahidins de l’Egypte [Les djihadistes]», publié sur les sites Web liés au «califat», qu’ «il est nécessaire d’étendre le combat au Caire, jusqu’à ce que le Sinaï soit protégé des apostats [référence au gouvernement égyptien] et devienne une base arrière pour élargir la djihad « .
Le communiqué encourage notamment à commettre des attentats en Egypte en utilisant des voitures piégées.
Il a également appelé les Djihadistes en Egypte à « cibler les Coptes, », les minorités chrétiennes indigènes de la nation égyptienne : «Les cibler, les suivre et les tuer est l’une des principales façons de servir la cause « , est-il explicitement écrit.
