Boris Johnson, le nouveau Premier Ministre de la Grande Bretagne que la presse française décrit comme un clown, a présenté ses vœux de Noël de manière admirable et émouvante à ses concitoyens. Il a commencé par rappeler que ce jour rappelait la naissance de Jésus-Christ et que celle-ci était une grande célébration pour tous les chrétiens du monde ; ceci étant par-delà les réjouissances terrestres de la journée. Puis de manière émouvante il remercia ceux qui par leur travail ne pouvaient être en famille ce jour-là : les soignants des hôpitaux, la police, les soldats qui se battent à l’étranger ; dans ces familles, à table il y aura une chaise vide. Puis il a évoqué les chrétiens persécutés pour leur foi dans le monde, devant se cacher, étant prisonnier dans des cellules ou bien placés au secret. Johnson se déclara avec eux et priant pour eux. Il ferait tout ce qu’il pourrait pour qu’ils puissent pratiquer leur foi. Il termina en souhaitant à tous les Britanniques un heureux Noël qui qu’ils soient et où qu’ils soient. Impressionnant et poignant.
Bien sûr, de son côté Macron n’a pas dit un mot pour les Français ! Le petit Jésus n’allait certainement pas troubler ses vacances au fort de Brégançon : il a fait très beau et chaud sur la côte méditerranéenne; il a probablement pu profiter de la piscine qu’il y a fait construire.
