Irak – Du 20 au 25 juillet, dans de nombreux villages et petites villes de la plaine de Ninive, toutes localités chrétiennes d’Orient, 15 statues de Notre-Dame de Lourdes seront réinstallées à la place de celles qui ont été enlevées et détruites par la furie antichrétienne des djihadistes au cours des trois ans d’occupation de la zone par l’Etat islamique.
A Qaraqosh, Telkaif, Alqosh, Karamles et en d’autres localités de la plaine de Ninive, la réinstallation des statues en question est vécue par les chrétiens présents comme un signe réconfortant d’un retour à la normalité, possible et progressif, scandée également par les prières récitées et susurrées aux statues de Notre-Dame.
Maintenant les chrétiens de ces villes et de ces villages pourront de nouveau prier devant Notre-Dame de Lourdes, qui les a soutenus au cours de leur exil.
Soulignons ici encore l’aide exemplaire du Premier ministre hongrois Viktor Orban à la reconstruction de villages chrétiens en Irak. Voilà un dirigeant politique intelligent qui favorise la réimplantation des chrétiens d’Orient dans leurs lieux d’origine plutôt qu’une immigration qui signifierait la disparition du christianisme en Orient.
