Une fois de plus, de nombreuses vedettes d’Hollywood, dont les acteurs Arnold Schwarzenegger et Gerard Butler, ont participé au dîner de gala de l’association Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) qui collecte des fonds pour Tsahal.
Jeudi dernier, ce dîner a rapporté la bagatelle de 53,8 millions de dollars pour Tsahal, soit le montant collecté le plus élevé depuis le premier dîner de la FIDF en 2006.
Le milliardaire Haim Saban, fondateur de la FIDF, a déclaré : “Année après année, le soutien de la communauté de Los Angeles pour ce remarquable événement continue de m’étonner, et le gala de cette année ne fait pas exception”.
Plus de 1.200 personnes ont participé à ce Dîner de Gala en faveur de l’armée israélienne. Parmi les participants, des acteurs, des chanteurs, des réalisateurs, des sportifs, des hommes d’affaires, tous venus débourser un chèque pour Tsahal.
Le don le plus important fait jeudi soir est de 16,6 millions de dollars, et vient du co-fondateur, président exécutif et directeur de la technologie d’Oracle, Larry Ellison.
Au fil des ans, citons parmi les participants les acteurs Robert De Niro, Silvester Stallone, Gerard Buller et Arnold Schwarzenegger, la chanteuse Barbra Streisand, le mannequin Joanna Krupa, le chanteur Seal, l’actrice Melissa Rivers, le chanteur Gene Simmons (KISS), l’actrice Pamela Anderson, le milliardaire Serge Azria,…
