L’Arabie saoudite a imposé des restrictions commerciales aux Pays-Bas pour protester contre des autocollants anti-musulmans distribués par le responsable d’un parti de droite nationale Geert Wilders, a déclaré le gouvernement néerlandais. Pour l’instant Ryad n’en a pas informé officiellement le gouvernement des Pays-Bas.
Geert Wilders a diffusé, il y a 6 mois, des autocollants contre l’islam aux couleurs du drapeau saoudien. Le gouvernement d’Arabie Saoudite avait été très fâché par les autocollants. Les Pays-Bas ont envoyé de hauts diplomates le mois dernier à Ryad pour tenter de désamorcer l’affaire mais aucune solution n’a été trouvée. Le ministre des Affaires étrangères Frans Timmermans espère y retourner très vite pour pouvoir régler l’affaire.
