Le Grand Orient de France (GODF) se réunira en convent au Parc des expositions de Reims du 28 au 30 août 2014, au Parc des expositions, sous la présidence du “frère” Georges Serignac, actif au sein de la commission nationale permanente de la laïcité (CNPL) du GODF.
Toujours en mal d’épouvantail, le Grand Orient consacrera la première journée de son convent à débattre de «la reconstruction de la République face aux nouveaux périls». Il sera aussi question de cette interrogation (dont on connait déjà la réponse maçonnique) : «la laïcité malmenée n’est-elle pas pourtant une valeur fondatrice essentielle pour l’avenir ?».
Par ailleurs, le GODF s’inquièterait quelque peu du vieillissement de ses effectifs (moyenne d’âge : 58 ans).
