Malgré leur victoire 6-0 face à l’Australie (à nuancer au vu de l’adversaire), les Bleus ne véhiculent pas une bonne image auprès des Français. Selon un sondage, ce serait le cas pour 82% des Français. Seule une minorité croit qu’ils ont l’amour du maillot (8%). Pour la majorité, ils sont trop payés, individualistes et grossiers.
Noël Le Graët, président de la FFF (fédération française de football) essaye de défendre son morceau : « Je pense au contraire que les gens sont amoureux des Bleus, alors il faut arrêter de matraquer l’équipe de France. Je ne dis pas que tout va bien mais pas dans ces proportions. Je les côtoie et ils sont bien élevés, polis, courtois et respectueux. Ils sont aussi très attachés au maillot tricolore. » Ce n’est certainement pas l’image qu’ils donnent et quand on connaît la gestion Le Graët ces dernières années…
