A l’occasion de la Présidence lituanienne de l’UE, une délégation d’évêques catholiques de Lituanie composée de l’archevêque Mgr Gintaras GRUŠAS, Mgr Rimantas NORVILA, Mgr Lionginas VIRBALAS, Mgr Linas VODOPJANOVAS, Mgr Kęstutis KĖVALAS et Mgr Arūnas PONIŠKAITIS, a visité les institutions européennes, du 1er au 4 décembre à Bruxelles. Afin de se familiariser avec les institutions de l’UE, ces évêques ont eu des rencontres avec plusieurs députés européens, en particulier lituaniens, avant d’être reçus par le Vice-Président du Parlement européen, Mr Surjan. Ils ont ensuite échangé avec les responsables du Bureau des Conseillers politiques (BEPA), au sein de la Commission européenne. Enfin, ils ont rencontré un représentant de Service européen d’action extérieure ainsi que le Représentant permanent de la Lituanie auprès de l’UE.
A la suite de ces rencontres, ces évêques ont publié une déclaration commune dans laquelle ni le Christ ni le christianisme ne sont cités une seule fois en tant que voies de salut offert à notre monde. On préfère y parler de « la solidarité mondiale » et du « développement des peuples »…
« (…) nous souhaitons exprimer toute notre reconnaissance pour tout ce qui a été accompli ces 60 dernières années par le projet d’intégration européenne. », ont déclaré ces évêques.
Faut-il rappeler à ces évêques que ce sont ces mêmes institutions européennes qui ont abrité quantité de réunions au sein desquelles se sont planifiées et se planifient encore des mesures visant à détruire la Famille, à subvertir la société et à dissoudre le christianisme dans le relativisme et le syncrétisme religieux ?
