Le secrétaire général de la Conférence épiscopale espagnole, Mgr José Maria Gil Tamayo, a déclaré que « le fait religieux dans ce monde est soumis à suspicion » et a dénoncé le fondamentalisme laïciste. « Il s’établit une inquisition laïque », a-t-il affirmé jeudi lors d’une conférence organisée par des jésuites sur le thème «La présence publique de l’Église».
Mgr José Maria Gil Tamayo a exhorté les chrétiens à faire que la foi ne soit pas reléguée à la sphère privée. Il faut « surmonter l’invisibilité de la foi dans ce monde », a souligné le secrétaire général de la Conférence épiscopale espagnole. Il a, par ailleurs, déploré «que l’on parle même de droit au blasphème» qui est «un affront à la dignité ».
