Liban – Selon des rapports de différents services de sécurité, l’EIIL (Etat islamique en Irak et au Levant) tente de s’implanter à Beyrouth. DAECH (abréviation en arabe pour l’EIIL) cherche en ce moment à recruter parmi les jeunes salafistes fascinés par le djihad.
Mekkaoui, représentant du calife autoproclamé Abou Bakr el-Baghdadi, visite les quartiers de Beyrouth depuis plusieurs semaines afin de mettre sur pied des cellules djihadistes libanaises rattachées à l’EIIL.
Les renseignements militaires français s’inquiètent de constater que l’EIIL essaye d’infiltrer l’armée libanaise. Les islamistes de l’EIIL tentent aussi de corrompre des militaires grâce aux importants moyens financiers dont dispose l’EIIL.
Ce scénario est d’autant plus inquiétant qu’il a été efficace pour obtenir la débâcle militaire irakienne de Mossoul grâce à « l’achat » d’officiers irakiens.
