Le cardinal suisse Kurt Koch a accordé une interview au journal zurichois SonntagsZeitung publiée ce 5 avril, dimanche de Pâques.
Le cardinal Koch, qui préside le Conseil pontifical pour la promotion de l’unité des chrétiens, a abordé les persécutions antichrétiennes et réclamé une réaction plus ferme de l’Europe.
« 80 % des personnes persécutées en raison de leur foi sont des chrétiens. Il y a aujourd’hui davantage de chrétiens persécutés que durant les premiers siècles du christianisme. »
Le cardinal Kurt Koch a souligné que dans le cas présent, les ventes d’armes pour combattre l’Etat Islamique, par exemple, entrent dans le domaine d’une « juste défense ».
Dans cette même interview, le cardinal Koch a rappelé son opposition à la dénaturation du mariage.
