Sans l’argent du contribuable par l’entremise de subventions publiques, les associations LGBT disparaissent. Dernier exemple en date, la coordination LGBT de Catalogne a annoncé sa dissolution.
C’est ce qu’a annoncé cette organisation le 17 décembre dernier sur sa page web dans un communiqué faisant référence à un projet phare, le service d’information 900 Rosa, financé durant des années par le Plan national du sida du ministère de la santé.
Mais la crise économique est passée par là et voilà deux ans que l’association LGBT est priée de se débrouiller pour faire vivre « 900 Rosa » sans subventions. Or, cette association s’est montrée incapable de trouver des financements privés.
On peut se demander comment ces associations gaspillent l’argent des contribuables si le fait de perdre le financement d’un projet spécifique suffit à entraîner la dissolution de la fédération des associations coordinatrices LGBT de Catalogne.
Cela démontre assez, si besoin en était, le fait que ces associations n’ont aucune représentativité, sans quoi elles parviendraient à s’organiser sur base des cotisations et des dons de leurs militants et sympathisants.
Le bilan que fait cette coordination LGBT de Catalogne est instructif. On y souligne, outre l’importance des subventions publiques, le traitement favorable des médias qui ont accordé une place de choix aux associations et aux événements LGBT, ainsi que le rôle du lobby homosexuel dans les campagnes électorales.
« A partir de 1988, à l’occasion de chaque élection, se mettait en marche la campagne du vote rose, cherchant l’engagement des partis politiques en faveur de la communauté homosexuelle », explique la coordination dans son mot d’adieu.
