Comme après chaque campagne électorale, un certain nombre de recours peuvent entraîner l’annulation de l’élection par le Conseil constitutionnel.
Au lendemain du second tour des dernières élections législatives, 297 recours ont été déposés par des candidats malchanceux ou mauvais perdant. Les Sages du Conseil constitutionnel en ont retenu 55 qui nécessitent une étude plus approfondie. Le plus emblématique est celui qui concerne Manuel Valls dont l’élection est contestée par son adversaire en marche, Farida Amrani, battue avec seulement 139 voix d’écart. L’ancien premier ministre, après avoir perdu son aura auprès des socialistes et des marcheurs pourrait se retrouver sans siège de député.
Emmanuelle Ménard, l’épouse du maire de Béziers Robert Ménard, élue non-inscrite mais proche du FN est une des autres personnalités visées par ces recours.
26 d’entre eux touchent La République en marche, 18 Les Républicains, 2 le Parti Socialiste, 2 le Parti Communiste, tout autant pour La France insoumise, 2 pour des députés non inscrits et un élu du Modem.
