Dans un article de Human Life International du 28 Avril 2016 l’Académie américaine de Pédiatrie critique le manque de sécurité du vaccin VPH. Rappelons que ce vaccin est censé protéger du cancer du col de l’utérus dans la mesure où il immunise contre le papilloma virus responsable en partie de cette maladie. Il est commercialisé sous le nom de Gardasil ou encore Cervarix.
Ce vaccin a commencé à être recommandé depuis 2006, notamment chez jeunes filles à partir de l’âge de neuf ans. Plusieurs syndromes ont été remarqués parmi celles qui ont été vaccinées. Entre autres, celui appelé défaillance prématurée de l’ovaire (POF) ou insuffisance ovarienne prématurée des enfants et adolescents. La POF peut aussi causer des ménopauses prématurées chez les jeunes vaccinées. Le responsable serait le polysorbate 80, l’ingrédient toxique du vaccin contre le VPH.
Avant son arrivée sur le marché, de 1990 à 2006, aucun cas de POF ou de ménopause prématurée n’ont été enregistrés ; seulement 32 cas d’amenorrhée (absence de règles) en rapport avec une ménopause précoce avaient été rapportés. Cependant, depuis l’octroi de licences de commercialisation du Gardasil en 2006, il y a eu environ 213 rapports d’effets secondaires possibles impliquant l’aménorrhée, la POF ou ménopause prématurée, dont 88% ont été associés à Gardasil. La commercialisation du Cervarix a été approuvée à la fin de 2009. Les cas d’amenorrhée ont été multipliés par deux entre 2010 et 2014.
Cette pathologie survient à une époque à laquelle les femmes (et les hommes) se marient de plus en plus tard. Ces pathologies rétrécissent gravement chez la femme la « fenêtre de fécondité » à laquelle elles pourront avoir des enfants. De plus ce vaccin a été estimé responsable d’un certain nombre de maladies auto-immunes et on connait mal ses effets à long terme.
