Etats-Unis – Le syndicat des doctorants de l’université de New York (NYU) a voté l’approbation d’une motion de soutien au mouvement de Boycott, Désinvestissements et Sanctions (BDS) contre Israël.
Le Comité d’organisation des doctorants, qui représente plus de 2 000 doctorants et assistants de recherche à l’université, a fait savoir que cette résolution a été approuvée vendredi par deux tiers des 600 membres du syndicat des doctorants.
La résolution recommande à l’Université de New York de fermer son programme à l’université de Tel Aviv « jusqu’à ce qu’Israël se conforme aux lois internationales et cesse l’occupation militaire, démantèle le mur, reconnaisse le droit des citoyens palestiniens à l’égalité totale, et respecte le droit au retour des réfugiés et exilés palestiniens ». Les membres du syndicat des doctorants s’engagent également à boycotter le gouvernement israélien et les institutions académiques du pays.
