Etats-Unis – Darryl Daniels est le shérif du comté de Clay, en Floride. Un shérif coiffé d’un chapeau cow-boy comme dans les westerns. Et il est Noir. Mais il n’apprécie pas du tout les violences auxquelles donnent lieu les manifestations dites « antiracistes » des Black Lives Matter et de leurs amis Antifas.
Le shérif Daniels a déclaré qu’il protégerait toute manifestation pacifique, mais a ajouté que si quelqu’un commençait à « déchirer le comté de Clay, cela ne serait pas acceptable ».
Dans une vidéo où il apparaît au milieu de ses hommes, le shérif Daniels a prévenu les manifestants :
« Si nous ne pouvons pas vous gérer, j’exercerai le pouvoir et l’autorité en tant que shérif et je ferai des adjoints spéciaux de chaque propriétaire légitime d’armes à feu dans le comté et je les suppléerai à ce seul but : se tenir debout pour éviter l’anarchie. »
Le shérif a donc expliqué qu’il permettrait à tous les propriétaires d’armes à feu de son comté de l’aider à faire la loi et mettre un terme aux manifestations violentes si ses adjoints ne peuvent gérer la situation seuls.
« Si vous venez dans le comté de Clay et pensez une seconde que nous allons reculer, vous vous trompez malheureusement. », a ajouté le shérif Daniels.
