Le sénateur de l’état de Missouri, Kurt Schaefer, connu pour être un défenseur de la vie, a dû fermer son bureau et annuler plusieurs rendez-vous, le jeudi 19 novembre 2015, après avoir été menacé de mort à cause de l’enquête ouverte contre l’entreprise milliardaire avorteuse Planned Parenthood.
Ce sénateur pro-vie a reçu un appel jeudi dernier de la part d’un inconnu qui l’a menacé de mort et lui a lancé des injures antichrétiennes. Ce politicien a donc contacté la police afin de commencer une enquête pour trouver le coupable.
Kurt Schaefer est un activiste pro-vie qui n’a jamais caché ses convictions. Récemment, il s’est rendu dans une université dans laquelle il a parlé sur les dangers de l’avortement et les répercussions sur les femmes qui se font avorter.
Le sénateur a déclaré à la presse locale qu’il pense que c’est à cause de cette visite qu’il a reçu cette menace et les agressions verbales. Cependant, il a également raconté que l’agresseur lui a crié dessus : « la chrétienté est en train de mourir dans ce pays ».
Dans son désir de protéger la vie, le sénateur Schaefer a initié, avec le soutien d’autres représentants politiques une enquête très approfondie sur les activités du Planned Parenthood, après que plusieurs vidéos ont été diffusées par le Center for Medical Progress les accusant de vendre certaines parties du corps des bébés avortés.
La population du Missouri soutient le travail de cet homme politique et déplore les agressions perpétrées contre lui. Espérons que les autorités pourront rapidement mettre fin à l’enquête et retrouver l’agresseur afin de permettre à ce sénateur de continuer ses activités.
