Ces dernières années, le Puy du Fou a remporté des distinctions internationales remarquées, signe que le Parc a atteint une nouvelle dimension. Aujourd’hui, il annonce sur son site qu’il va exporter son modèle. Il a signé une nouvelle collaboration pour la création d’un spectacle nocturne au château d’Auckland en Grande-Bretagne, sur le modèle de la Cinéscénie, qui devrait naître au printemps 2016. Dans un premier temps, ce projet consistera en la création d’un spectacle nocturne qui aura pour décor le château d’Auckland situé dans le nord-est de l’Angleterre et s’inscrit totalement dans l’esprit du Puy du Fou puisqu’il aura pour vocation de valoriser à la fois la région, ses habitants et l’histoire de la Grande-Bretagne.
C’est la première fois que le Puy du Fou exporte son modèle de la Cinéscénie. Ce spectacle verra des reconstitutions grandioses avec combats de gladiateurs romains, invasions vikings, joutes chevaleresques. Le tout sera accompagné de jets d’eau monumentaux, projections géantes et de musique épique. Le Puy du Fou se chargera d’élaborer le cahier des charges et d’écrire le scénario. Le spectacle sera joué 30 fois par an avec une capacité d’accueil de 6 000 spectateurs par soir et interprété par 600 bénévoles.
L’ouverture d’un parc à thème historique comme celui du Puy du Fou serait aussi à l’étude. S’il voyait le jour, il n’ouvrirait qu’en 2020. Il reste à savoir si le projet sera viable sur le long terme et si l’Angleterre arrivera à intégrer l’esprit puyfolais si particulier et si spécifique tout en gardant une touche britannique !
