Le maire UDI de Valenciennes, Laurent Degallaix, a écrasé la concurrence dimanche au premier tour de la législative partielle provoquée par la démission de Jean-Louis Borloo où il a eu 47,02% des suffrages. Il se retrouvera au second tour face au candidat FN Jean-Luc-François Laurent qui a dépassé les 12,5% de voix.
Le candidat du PCF, Patrick Kolebacki, a obtenu 10,27%, un dissident de la droite, Didier Legrand, qui avait recueilli plus de 22% des suffrages aux municipales, n’a cette fois glané que 10,18%. Le candidat du PS, Alexandre Raszka (7,12%) et celui d’EELV, Frédéric Bigot (3,56%), sont encore plus distancés. C’est encore une défaite cinglante pour les socialistes, une de plus.
