Dans des déclarations à l’agence d’informations mexicaine Notimex, Mauricio Macri, président argentin depuis décembre 2015, a opposé un «non» catégorique à la possibilité de légaliser l’avortement durant son mandat.
Le président argentin répondait à ces questions dans le contexte de l’affaire médiatisée d’une femme de 27 ans de Tucuman, condamnée pour avoir tué son bébé, alors que des organisations pro-avortement, dont Amnesty International, ont lancé une campagne de soutien à celle-ci.
«C’est une question très délicate« , a déclaré Mauricio Macri. « Parfois, ces cas particuliers conduisent à la réflexion, mais j’insiste ici que le plus important est de défendre la vie« . «Nous devons défendre la vie. Amener un enfant dans ce monde est l’une des plus belles choses qui puisse arriver à un couple, c’est la plus belle expression de l’amour qu’il y ait. »
