L’ombre de Civitas plane encore avec efficacité sur le spectacle blasphématoire de Romeo Castellucci Sur le concept du visage du fils de Dieu. En 2011, Civitas s’opposait frontalement à cette provocation en manifestant à chaque séance de représentation de cette pièce de théâtre scatologique et sacrilège. A l’intérieur comme à l’extérieur des théâtres qui accueillaient ce spectacle, l’incessante mobilisation catholique avait surpris.
Et voilà que plusieurs années après, ce même spectacle était à nouveau programmé au Mans. La mobilisation catholique allait-elle reprendre.
Le préfet de la Sarthe a préféré ne pas prendre le risque de voir resurgir les militants de Civitas. Suite à un avis défavorable de la Direction départementale de la cohésion sociale, le préfet de la Sarthe a donc fait retirer une séquence de 12 minutes au cours de laquelle Romeo Castellucci fait monter sur scène des enfants pour caillasser le visage du Christ à coups de grenades factices.
Ce n’est pas le seul aspect blasphématoire de ce spectacle mais c’est déjà un pas important.
