Le parquet général a fait aujourd’hui appel de l’acquittement de l’urgentiste Nicolas Bonnemaison, poursuivi pour avoir euthanasié sept malades en phase terminale.
Prenant en compte l’ensemble des éléments de cette affaire, la procureure générale (Blandine Froment) près la cour d’appel a estimé nécessaire de relever appel de la décision de la cour d’assises, a indiqué dans un communiqué le parquet général. Lors du procès, le parquet avait requis 5 ans de prison avec sursis possible, affirmant toutefois que le Dr Bonnemaison n’était « pas un assassin ». Le docteur Bonnemaison pourrait donc se voir condamné. Le parquet général n’avait plus que quelques heures pour faire appel.
