Le 21 mars, s’adressant aux jeunes lors de son voyage à Naples, le pape François a pour la troisième fois condamné la théorie du gender. «La théorie du genre est une erreur de l’esprit humain qui conduit à beaucoup de confusion» (la teoria del gender, che creatantaconfusione), « Donc, la famille est attaquée. » Le 19 janvier durant son vol en revenant de Manille il a qualifié la propagande faite en Occident en faveur du genre, de « colonisation idéologique ». Il la compare au nazisme. « Pensons à la jeunesse d’Hitler ». Il évoquait les livres prônant le changement de sexe et diffusés auprès des enfants.Le 24 octobre 2014, il déclare « Pensons aux armements nucléaires, de la possibilité d’anéantir en quelques instants un très grand nombre d’êtres humains. Pensons également des manipulations génétiques, de la manipulation de la vie ou du sexe ; la théorie du genre, qui ne reconnaît pas l’ordre de la création ». « Avec cette attitude, l’homme commet un nouveau péché, contre Dieu le Créateur ».
Il y a cependant de quoi s’étonner car le pape toujours à Naples dans le même discours, considère le Synode comme inspiré par Dieu. (il Signore ha ispirato di convocare il Sinodo sulla famiglia). À ce niveau on a du mal à comprendre. En effet rappelons que lors du Synode, François a donné son accord à la publication du fameux « document intermédiaire ». Celui-ci a déclenché une violente polémique par un article mentionnant que « les homosexuels ont des dons à offrir à la communauté chrétienne » sans d’ailleurs préciser lesquels. Or l’homosexualité est la concrétisation pratique (si l’on peut dire) de l’idéologie du gender.
